A journey from Founder to Business Psychologist & Coach

Where It Started
Where It Started
My journey as a Founder and Entrepreneur began at 27, when I left a language school where I’d been working alongside a brilliant team. A group of us walked out together and instead of scattering into different jobs, I decided to build something better and employ the entire team! I set up my own Language Centre in Poland and became the boss of the very people I used to sit next to as a colleague. That meant every difficult conversation, every piece of feedback, every “how do I say this without it blowing up” landed on my desk – with people who were my friends first and my team second. Nobody trains you for that. I learned it the way most first-time managers do: badly, then a bit better, then finally on purpose.
Moving To The UK
Moving To The UK

I moved to the UK and started two more businesses, building teams from scratch each time. Different country, different market, same lesson repeating itself: being good at what you do gives you confidence but nobody automatically hands you the people skills that come next.

By this point I was eager to understand myself and my teams properly,  so I went and studied it!.  I completed my MSc in Business Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, finally getting the evidence-based grounding for everything I’d been figuring out on instinct for a decade.

Leadership Coaching Begins
Leadership Coaching Begins

I started my leadership coaching practice, bringing together the psychology and the lived experience of actually being the person who had to have the hard conversations.

Since then, I’ve worked with first-time managers across SMEs and delivered training for organisations including John Lewis, Taylor Wimpey, SC Johnson and many more.

I’m also an accredited Belbin Practitioner, which means I don’t just help you with what to say  I help you understand why your team behaves the way it does, and where the friction is actually coming from.
